Always check your work

It always happens to me when you put all the equipment away, you realize that you missed a spot and have to take everything back out to take care of it lol. After you are done with the job put everything away except the weed whacker and take one more walk around the property what ever spots you missed you can correct with the weed whacker I hope this helps take care and God Bless

Been really busy

The Lawn care and Landscaping business is in full swing so I haven't have much time to post anything but I just got a good review from a client but the one concern she had was I work a part time job and run a full time business and some times it can be hard to get to every client at a reasonable time what do you do??

you do the best you can to get to everybody waste not time, Just go go go. On your days off from work ,use those days to do the bigger jobs. You just have to do the best you can to get all the customers, get to the most important first and if you lose some of the smaller ones you won't lose as much money.

When it is busy like this you will have to make choices and my lose some jobs If you are getting a lot of jobs you may have to think about quitting your job but if want to keep the job too ask if you can have some time off or take a vacation that way you can still do your jobs in your business and the time off of work you will still get paid for it get the best of both worlds.

If you are driving a truck and you have a general idea on landscaping jobs and lawn jobs. You can drive near where you live talk with friends and co workers and see if they need small yard clean ups taking some garbage to the dump or hauling a small pile of branches to the brush land fill places in your town. If you can do it for $20 bucks you will get a lot of jobs.$20 is s small enough fee that many people will have no problem paying, like retail stores $1.00 is the magic number. I find that when it starts to get slow going towards winter of that you have extra time between jobs using this method can put some extra money in your pocket . Another way to figure what to charge for Jobs...

When you go to a customer or clients property to give a quote and do the job sometimes the will give you a $10 or $20 tip so you can figure out on the next job that you can charge a little more when you place your bid.

People will call you to mow a lawn they may say that there lawn guy went on vacation for a couple of weeks and they just need you to cut the grass for a couple of weeks until he comes back. You can ask how much he charges and do it for the price he charges. This is an ideal way to know how much other lawn companies charges. If they just move from another state and they need you to cut the grass telling how much other lawn care companies charge the state they moved from won't work as well because there rates may be higher or lower then the state you live in. you will not get good information.
